Health and Dental Insurance

The Greenshield health and dental insurance plan includes coverage for professionel health services, prescription drugs, dental care, eye examinations and glasses and travel insurance.

All full-time students starting in September are automatically covered under the plan, while part-time students and those starting in January can opt-in. Students can also pay a supplemental premium to cover their spouse or family.

  • Policy year: September 1st to August 31st
  • Greenshield Group Number: 23785
  • Your identification number: GSA + your student number+00 (01 for spouses; 02-05 for dependents, from 02, oldest, to 05, youngest)
Deadlines
  • Opt-ins and Opt-outs begin August 15th, 2010
  • Opt-out deadline: October 15th, 2010
  • Opt-in deadline: October 29th, 2010 (Fall semester), February 11, 2011 (Winter semester)

Students who are residents of Quebec should note that the GSAED medication insurance is not considered a valid private insurance substitute for the provincial medication insurance plan. See our FAQ for more information.
